About the Role
The Production Manager creates and fulfills monthly and quarterly production schedules to achieve planned revenue, labor contribution margins, on‑time delivery, and quality. This leader directs all production personnel, implements lean manufacturing, and serves as a change agent focused on safety, waste reduction, and employee engagement. Key responsibilities include implementing strategic programs to improve labor efficiency, on‑time delivery, and continuous quality improvement; generating reports on program contributions and manufacturing issues; selecting cost‑effective equipment; recruiting, training, and developing staff; establishing production planning systems and enforcing quality standards; collaborating with Plant and Supply Chain Managers on purchasing, logistics, and inventory control; managing budgets, controlling costs, and driving profit improvement initiatives such as Six Sigma, Kaizen, and cost‑down projects. • Implement strategic programs to boost labor efficiency, on‑time delivery, and continuous quality improvement. • Generate and communicate reports on program performance, lead times, and manufacturing issues. • Select and recommend cost‑effective manufacturing equipment within budget constraints. • Recruit, orient, train, and develop production staff while maintaining a safe work environment. • Establish production planning systems, enforce quality standards, and drive product and process improvements. • Collaborate with Plant Manager and Supply Chain Manager on purchasing, logistics, inventory, and production control. • Develop and manage budgets, control costs, and maximize asset utilization to meet financial objectives. • Lead Six Sigma, Kaizen, and other profit‑improvement initiatives, including capital planning and cost‑down projects. • Foster a culture of safety, employee engagement, and continuous improvement aligned with Masonite Architectural values.

What You Bring
The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Mechanical Engineering or Operations, and has 5‑7 years of manufacturing management experience. Required skills include exceptional written and verbal communication in English and French, proven ability to lead cross‑functional teams, strong organizational and leadership abilities, proficiency with Microsoft Office and MS Project, and familiarity with Six Sigma, Lean methodologies, and HR/financial concepts. • Demonstrate excellent communication in English and French, cross‑functional team leadership, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and MS Project. • Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Operations and 5‑7 years of manufacturing management experience. • Knowledge of Six Sigma, Lean methodologies, and HR/financial acumen; Six Sigma Lean GB certification preferred or attainable within 12 months.
