About the Role
The role’s primary purpose is to safely operate a heavy‑duty truck to perform assigned duties on transfer routes. The driver must operate the vehicle in compliance with OSHA, DOT, and company standards, conduct pre‑ and post‑trip inspections using a DVIR, and report any unsafe conditions, incidents, or service calls immediately. Responsibilities also include participating in required training, collaborating with route managers to improve efficiency, assisting other drivers, dumping and cleaning containers, positioning them properly, completing customer tickets for excess yardage, and finalizing all route documentation at the end of the day. • Operate heavy‑duty truck safely in compliance with OSHA, DOT, and company standards. • Perform pre‑ and post‑trip vehicle inspections using DVIR and promptly report issues. • Report unsafe conditions, incidents, accidents, and service calls to the Route Manager or Dispatch. • Participate in all required trainings, briefings, and meetings. • Collaborate with Route Managers to improve route efficiency and address unsafe accounts. • Assist other drivers as directed and follow scheduled duties. • Dump containers, clean customer sites, and position containers to avoid obstructions. • Complete and submit customer tickets for excess yardage and finalize route documentation.

What You Bring
No formal education or prior experience is required, but candidates must be legally eligible to work in Canada, hold a valid DZ or Class 3 (or higher) licence, be at least 18 years old, and possess an acceptable driving record. Successful applicants must also pass a pre‑employment drug screen, physical, background check and motor‑vehicle‑record review. The position may require travel by air or access to federal property, so candidates must have a REAL ID or an acceptable TSA‑approved alternative, or be willing to obtain one. • Maintain a valid DZ or Class 3 (or higher) licence, be at least 18 years old, and have legal work status in Canada. • Pass pre‑employment drug screening, physical, background check, and maintain an acceptable driving record.

Benefits
This is a union position located at our Sudbury hauling site, with manual loading and a starting wage of $26.80 per hour. The shift runs from 6:00 am to 5:30 pm, Tuesday through Friday.
