About the Role

The Reliability Engineer will provide engineering support for the operation and maintenance of buildings, infrastructure, and equipment assets. Responsibilities include implementing strategic asset management plans, integrating building automation and energy management systems, and developing reliability analyses and life‑cycle assessments. The role also oversees root‑cause failure analysis, maintenance maturity assessments, and cost‑benefit evaluations for repair versus replacement decisions. • Develop and execute strategic asset management plans integrating building automation, energy management, and maintenance programs. • Perform reliability analyses, root‑cause failure analysis (RCFA), and life‑cycle assessments to guide repair versus replacement decisions. • Create, rank, and optimize preventative and predictive maintenance tasks using Reliability‑Centered Maintenance (RCM) and condition‑based monitoring. • Conduct audits of safety, regulatory compliance, maintenance effectiveness, cost savings, and energy conservation. • Lead equipment failure investigations, prescribe corrective actions, and monitor their effectiveness. • Manage CMMS data, key performance indicators, and equipment history to drive continuous improvement. • Evaluate new reliability technologies and develop risk mitigation strategies across the asset portfolio. • Provide technical guidance to junior staff and coordinate with engineers, technicians, and third‑party resources.

What You Bring

Candidates must hold a BS in an engineering discipline, preferably mechanical or electrical, and possess five to ten years of experience with reliability‑centered maintenance, condition‑based monitoring, and building automation systems. Experience in critical or regulated environments such as data centers, laboratories, or manufacturing is preferred, along with strong skills in data analytics, CMMS tools, and Microsoft Excel. Preferred certifications include Certified Reliability Leader, Certified Maintenance Reliability Professional, and Level 2 thermography, vibration, or ultrasound certifications. • Required: BS in mechanical or electrical engineering; 5–10 years implementing RCM/CbM, building automation, and data analytics. • Preferred certifications: Certified Reliability Leader, Certified Maintenance Reliability Professional, Level 2 thermography, vibration, and ultrasound.

The position offers an estimated salary range of $80,000–$92,000 per year and is remote‑eligible for candidates in the Boston or Wilmington, MA area.
