About the Role

As a Solution Architect, you will be accountable for the design, integrity and quality of SAP solutions and related IS services delivered across business units, support functions and technology domains. You will ensure that the SAP solution delivers required functionality and meets business requirements while collaborating with project set‑up, delivery and service operations teams. Key duties include defining the technical SAP architecture, performing requirement engineering, translating functional designs into technical specifications, and communicating these to developers. You will manage transport requests, support unit and UAT testing, formulate development guidelines, and address non‑functional requirements to uphold service standards. Collaboration with users, project owners and IS stakeholders is essential to develop cost‑effective solutions, maintain documentation and training materials, and provide guidance on SAP installation, maintenance and optimization. • Define and align technical SAP solutions with other IS applications. • Conduct requirement engineering to map business needs to standard SAP functions or enhancements. • Translate functional designs into detailed functional and technical specifications. • Communicate specifications to developers and support unit/UAT testing and defect resolution. • Manage transport requests and oversee their status through to production release. • Establish rules, principles and guidelines for SAP solution development. • Determine and incorporate non‑functional requirements to meet service operation standards. • Stay current on emerging IS technologies and SAP industry practices. • Collaborate with users, project owners and IS teams to deliver cost‑effective solutions. • Maintain comprehensive solution documentation and training materials. • Provide consultancy for new SAP installations, upgrades and changes. • Guide IS project management and delivery teams on effective use of SAP standards. • Ensure compliance with external regulations, internal procedures and corporate guidelines.

What You Bring

The role requires a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, with at least 10 years of IT experience and proven solution‑architecture expertise, especially with S/4 HANA. Practical experience with integration tools such as BizTalk or MuleSoft, SAP certifications, ABAP/ALE‑IDOC knowledge, and international exposure are preferred. Candidates must demonstrate strong leadership, the ability to bridge business and IT, awareness of SAP’s evolving landscape, decision‑making skills, and proficiency in spoken and written English.
