Senior Electrical Estimator

About the Role

The Senior Electrical Estimator will obtain and track subcontract bids, negotiate budgets, prepare and present estimate documentation, and interpret plans and proposals to develop accurate bids. They will also monitor data to close gaps between estimates and actual costs. • Communicate with customers to define scope, address deficiencies, negotiate pricing, and build relationships. • Perform research to produce accurate, complete, and competitive pricing. • Review completed estimates and proposals for thoroughness, accuracy, value‑engineering alternatives, and compliance with strategic goals. • Continuously follow up on all bid projects and accurately forecast future awards/probabilities. • Prepare proposals for budgetary, conceptual estimates, and strategic opportunities. • Attend pre‑bid meetings and/or meet with customers to identify project scope. • Prepare or supervise the preparation of bid documents and ensure timely delivery. • Attend bid de‑scope meetings and ensure completion of open items. • Schedule and attend job turnover meetings and prepare related materials. • Ensure job labor data from operations is analyzed and reflected in the estimating database to accurately represent field productivity. • Schedule and attend project post‑mortems and catalogue historical information. • Review material pricing from purchasing and suppliers and adjust the estimating database and procedures accordingly.

What You Bring

Ideal candidates have ten years of experience as a Journeyman Electrician, including two to five years in estimating, are proficient with Microsoft Office and Accubid, and can multitask in a fast‑paced environment. Strong communication skills, organization, detail‑orientation, and experience with high‑rise, commercial, residential, mixed‑use, design‑build, tenant finish‑out, and low‑voltage projects are required. • 10 years experience as a Journeyman Electrician with 2‑5 years estimating experience. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and estimating software (Accubid preferred). • Ability to multitask in a high‑volume, fast‑paced environment. • Strong verbal and written communication skills. • Organized, detail‑oriented, and efficient. • Experience bidding high‑rise, commercial, residential, mixed‑use, design‑build, tenant finish‑outs, and low‑voltage projects.

Benefits

The position offers a salary range of $110,000 to $140,000 per year.
