About the Role
The Entry Level Bridge Inspector will support the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) Bridge Management System by entering data through an online platform and performing field inspections. The role demands strong communication, teamwork, and willingness to travel and work outdoors. • Conduct field bridge inspections and assist with preparation tasks. • Organize and enter inspectors’ notes into the FDOT Bridge Management System. • Prepare and format reports for stakeholder submission. • Take field measurements and convert them into usable data. • Create and manage digital folders for FDOT districts and track inspection files. • Communicate with sub‑consultants and team members on assigned tasks. • Maintain organized file systems for inspection projects.

What You Bring
GFT is seeking an Entry Level Bridge Inspector to join our Transportation team in Orlando, FL. This full‑time, onsite position requires attendance at both the office and field sites. • High School Diploma or equivalent. • 0‑3 years data entry or construction industry experience. • Basic computer proficiency with at least 50 WPM typing speed. • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel. • Valid driver’s license and ability to lift 25 lbs, work at heights and over water. • Collaborative mindset with strong communication and problem‑solving skills. • Certifications in Microsoft Word and Excel (preferred). • Familiarity with Adobe Acrobat, Paint.NET, and Google Maps (preferred). • Experience with FDOT Mainframe systems and Bridge Management System (preferred).

The salary range for this position is $18.00‑$22.00 per hour, based on experience and location, and the role includes a comprehensive benefits package.
