About the Role
The Safety Director provides overall direction and leadership on safety and health matters for a designated region, supporting national safety goals and the company’s strategy, vision, and values. The role involves implementing safety programs, generating statistical reports, and leading safety training activities. • Implement, manage, and drive environmental, health, and safety programs aligned with organizational goals. • Measure EHS metrics and provide timely analytics using internal tools. • Support worker’s compensation claims and coordinate with risk, insurance, and carriers. • Deliver analytical reports on EHS and compensation issues to regional executives and stakeholders. • Lead the Drug and Alcohol program per corporate policies. • Participate in internal and external meetings to address EHS matters and propose solutions. • Design and conduct EHS training for regional safety team members. • Lead investigations of serious or catastrophic safety incidents. • Collaborate nationwide with safety professionals to monitor trends and recommend actions. • Work with marketing on presentations and promotional activities. • Manage prequalification platforms (e.g., ISNET, Construct Secure) and liaise with client solutions partners. • Author publications for company communications. • Promote diversity and inclusion, ensuring non‑discrimination policies are applied. • Utilize advanced MS Office, safety software, SIMS, and construction technology for effective performance. • Recognize hazardous situations, conduct testing for noise, contaminants, and environmental hazards, and implement corrective measures. • Manage and develop a safety team, building internal and external relationships.

What You Bring
The position requires a valid, unrestricted driver’s license and the ability to lift up to 25 pounds. Work may involve travel, non‑traditional hours, exposure to extreme temperatures, and tasks at heights. Physical activities include standing, walking, climbing, and occasional computer work. • Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety/health, construction management, or related field (or equivalent experience). • 10+ years of construction safety experience. • 5+ years of people management experience. • 2+ years of budgeting or financial management experience. • Ability to lift 25 lb, work in extreme temperatures, at heights, travel, and adapt to non‑traditional hours.
