About the Role
• Design and develop software using object‑oriented principles and design patterns for high reusability and maintainability. • Write unit‑testable C# code. • Gain deep understanding of CoStar’s product architecture and contribute to its platform. • Create database stored procedures, SQL scripts, and ETL jobs that adhere to CoStar standards. • Participate in Agile/Scrum teams and drive continuous improvement. • Build consensus across different development teams. • Facilitate discussions with .NET and database developers to share ideas and improvements. • Evaluate emerging technologies to identify opportunities, trends, and best practices for strengthening the technology platform. • Deliver products that meet specifications and performance SLAs. • Mentor developers and help build consensus.

What You Bring
The team is looking for an accomplished Software Engineer to support multiple products and brands, delivering highly visible web applications used by millions. The role involves applying emerging technologies and architectural improvements to strengthen Apartments.com’s software portfolio. Candidates must be eligible to work full‑time in the United States; visa sponsorship is not provided. The base salary range for this role is $103,000‑$154,000, depending on experience and skills. • Hold a bachelor’s degree from an accredited, not‑for‑profit, in‑person college or university. • Demonstrate a track record of commitment to prior employers. • Possess 2+ years of production development experience with C# .NET or .NET Core. • Have a proven record of building and launching successful products and platforms. • Experience in unit, performance, and automation testing. • Knowledge of Vue, React, or Angular with TypeScript is a plus. • Experience in relational database design (MS SQL or MySQL) and performance tuning. • Familiarity with AWS services such as S3, SQS, DynamoDB, ElastiCache, Apache Kafka, and monitoring tools like Datadog.
