About the Role
The role focuses on building and maintaining sophisticated passenger behaviour simulation models across various transportation modes, ensuring model quality, integrating them with product teams, and communicating insights to clients. It also involves staying abreast of research, supporting junior staff, and fostering collaboration within WSP worldwide. • Develop, calibrate, and maintain advanced passenger‑behaviour simulation models for rail, bus, air, and urban mobility systems. • Apply static and dynamic modelling techniques, integrating demographics, user preferences, and crowd‑dynamics data to boost accuracy and realism. • Validate, test, and document models to ensure quality, reliability, and compliance with industry standards. • Collaborate with data scientists, software developers, and project managers to embed models into products and project deliverables. • Produce technical reports, visualizations, and presentations that convey modelling results and insights to clients and stakeholders. • Work directly with clients to gather requirements, tailor simulation approaches, and provide technical support during implementation. • Track emerging trends and research in passenger behaviour and modelling methods to continuously improve methodologies. • Mentor, train, and support junior staff, fostering knowledge‑sharing and professional development. • Encourage collaboration across WSP India and globally.
