About the Role
• Lead project team to align schedule, integrate efforts, and achieve construction readiness • Establish and manage project budget and scope, ensuring alignment • Track budget trends and communicate updates to stakeholders • Support Design Phase Manager and Project Executive on design‑phase cost issues • Create and manage project schedules and milestones, holding parties accountable • Coordinate due‑diligence for permitting and code compliance, securing regulatory approvals • Conduct site visits during pursuit and design phases • Oversee proposal and design phases, aligning with estimates, RFPs, and procurement timelines • Manage the RFP proposal process and ensure design documents match execution plans • Coordinate design reviews and standard layouts with the Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) team • Prepare bid packages, third‑party reviewer packages, and contract manuals • Facilitate Design Phase meetings with owners, design partners, and internal teams • Assist in negotiating agreements with owners, designers, trade partners, and equipment suppliers • Lead risk and legal review of EPC agreements and clarify proposal responses • Identify and resolve technical design and specification issues • Conduct timely constructability reviews • Contribute to project margin planning during design • Foster integrated team communication and collaboration • Mentor and guide design‑phase engineers, supporting their career growth • Manage transition of projects to the construction management team • Build relationships with diverse stakeholders at all organizational levels • Provide coaching, feedback, and performance management to team members

What You Bring
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Estimating or related field • Minimum five years of relevant experience • Strong teamwork, initiative, communication, problem‑solving, and leadership abilities • Detail‑oriented with capacity to manage multiple project tasks • Basic understanding of construction law and business practices • Proficient in Microsoft Office, project‑management, and related web applications • Professional attitude with strong customer‑service focus • Ability to interpret and communicate Mortenson policies • Active listening and openness to diverse feedback • Knowledge of EEO, inclusive behaviors, and affirmative action plans • Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time
