The Solar Field Service Technician (Level 1) works full‑time on a jobsite in Temple, TX, performing field maintenance and learning safe work practices in the solar industry. Specific location details and expectations will be discussed during the interview process. Performance is measured by successful completion of safety and technical training, adherence to policies, attendance, understanding of safety and quality practices, customer satisfaction, professional growth, and a positive team attitude. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED (vocational/technical training a plus), demonstrated ability to work in mechanical/electrical environments, basic knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic systems, solar plant operations, testing equipment, and Lock Out/Tag Out procedures. Candidates must obtain NFPA 70e safety certification, maintain current safety training, possess effective English communication, organizational skills, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work in remote locations and extreme weather conditions on an on‑call basis. The position involves physical demands such as frequent stooping, bending, lifting 50 lb or more, climbing, and working in high, exposed, or difficult‑to‑access areas, with exposure to weather, vibration, dust, fumes, electric shock, radiation, and noisy environments. • Complete required solar work safety and technical training certifications. • Communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. • Meet minimum qualifications: high school diploma/GED, mechanical/electrical experience, basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic systems, and solar installations. • Possess a valid driver’s license and be able to operate a company vehicle.
