About the Role

Metrology Technician I – KBR's Metrology team supports Honeywell Aerospace, Otto Instruments, Garrett Advanced Motion, and their suppliers by providing onsite and offsite laboratory visits, test equipment calibration and repair, AMS2750 pyrometry services, metrology engineering, and equipment inspection. The team maintains equipment to high standards through preventative maintenance, calibration recall system management, automation and programming, and performance tracking dashboards. The position involves calibrating and certifying Test, Measurement, and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE) traceable to the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) using certified laboratory standards and manufacturer, commercial, or military specifications. Responsibilities also include troubleshooting, fault isolation, adjustments, repairs, and managing logistics for TMDE assets. • Perform troubleshooting, fault isolation, adjustments, and repairs on TMDE. • Manage pick‑up, delivery, shipping, and receiving of customer and lab assets. • Review certificates of conformance from external suppliers. • Communicate with external vendors regarding status, shipments, and logistics.

What You Bring

• Calibrate and certify TMDE using NIST‑traceable laboratory standards. • Minimum: high school diploma with technical training and 2 years experience, or associate’s degree in engineering technology and 1 year experience. • U.S. citizenship required. • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft technologies. • Preferred: experience with IndySoft, Fluke Met/Team, Fluke Met/Track, and Met/Cal. • Preferred: prior customer service experience.
