About the Role

The Tumble Operator performs operations within the Tumble classification, ensuring parts are processed to meet quality standards while following safety protocols and 6S (Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain, and Safety) guidelines. Key responsibilities include operating wet and dry tumblers, using hand tools for deburring, inspecting parts with measuring equipment, monitoring timers for batch control, adhering to safety procedures and PPE requirements, keeping the work area organized per 6S, and promptly reporting equipment issues or safety hazards. • Operate wet and dry tumblers/barrel machines according to procedures • Use hand tools such as files and deburring tools to finish parts • Inspect parts during production with measuring equipment for finish and dimensional accuracy • Monitor timers and manage batch start/stop operations on tumblers/barrels • Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE • Maintain a clean, organized work area in compliance with 6S principles • Report equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to supervision immediately • Use hand tools and material handling devices • Sit or stand for extended periods as required

What You Bring

Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Preferred qualifications include prior manufacturing experience, blueprint reading skills, experience with machine tools and precision inspection instruments, and knowledge of shop mathematics and tolerances. The role requires physical ability to lift up to 40 pounds, use hand tools, handle material, sit or stand for long periods, and reach with extended arms. This position is subject to ITAR, so applicants must be U.S. persons as defined by the regulation. • Hold a high school diploma or equivalent • Demonstrate mechanical aptitude • Understand and follow written and verbal work instructions • Possess previous manufacturing experience (preferred) • Read blueprints proficiently (preferred) • Experience with machine tools and inspection instruments such as gauge blocks, dial indicators, calipers, and micrometers (preferred) • Knowledge of shop mathematics and tolerances (preferred) • Lift up to 40 pounds frequently • Reach and work with arms extended
