About the Role

The position manages all chemistry and radioactive waste functions to protect critical Clean Energy Center assets. It provides leadership, drives performance, and handles regulatory issues related to chemistry and radwaste management. The role also oversees budgeting, contracts, and staff development for the department. • Lead chemistry and radioactive waste management for the Clean Energy Center. • Supervise and mentor chemistry supervisors, department members, and technicians. • Drive chemistry performance and equipment reliability while maintaining improvement plans. • Oversee contracts for radioactive waste, water treatment, and chemistry analysis services. • Manage department and CEC‑level budgets and performance indicators. • Ensure regulatory compliance for chemistry, radwaste, and environmental sampling programs. • Develop succession and staff development plans, including a Chemistry Technician Training Program. • Respond to emergencies, provide departmental coverage, and support outage activities. • Meet ANSI/ANS‑3.1‑2014 qualification standards and maintain required access and medical clearances.

What You Bring

• Hold a bachelor’s degree in chemistry, related science, or chemical engineering. • Minimum eight years of nuclear‑related experience, including four years in chemistry and one supervisory year. • Preferred experience in operations, finance, environmental matters, labor relations, and regulator interactions.
