About the Role
• Recruit and develop bridge team staff, manage utilization and support strategic planning. • Advise on team structure, mentor, coach, and plan succession. • Organize tasks to balance people, projects, and client needs; delegate effectively. • Foster a collaborative, respectful culture encouraging excellence, innovation, and learning. • Model behaviors aligned with Purpose and PRIDE values. • Prioritize health, safety, wellbeing, and career development of the bridge team. • Pursue new work with Account Leads and support business development. • Deliver innovative bridge design and rehabilitation solutions using current standards. • Lead bridge engineering practice, including codes, calculations, and construction drawings; establish efficient processes. • Coordinate with internal bridge and structural leads to share best practices and strengthen technical excellence. • Motivate colleagues, set goals, and provide constructive feedback.

What You Bring
• Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering (Master’s preferred). • 15+ years of transportation‑related structural design experience (bridges, culverts, retaining walls). • Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) registration with APEGA. • Experience delivering projects for Alberta Transportation, Economic Corridors (ATEC) and municipalities. • Strong bridge design technical skills. • Passion for digital tools and innovative design solutions. • Ability to supervise, check, and approve deliverables of others. • Proven project management and collaborative delivery capabilities. • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills; ability to develop junior staff. • Experience in non‑transport sectors (e.g., Energy) or prior resource‑leadership role is an asset.
