About the Role
The Project Engineer (contingent) in APAC will provide engineering and installation solutions within the project delivery organisation. He/she will ensure production, testing and documentation of systems meet customer specifications and quality‑assurance standards, and will manage engineering tasks for large construction, fit‑out and expansion projects. Key duties include applying HVAC and refrigeration knowledge to install and commission chillers, pumps, panels, AHUs and low‑side piping; coordinating with structural, controls and plumbing engineers; designing mechanical work for industrial projects and identifying cost‑saving opportunities; collaborating closely with the project manager to align scope and improve project financials; maintaining proactive customer interaction; supporting bid phases with technical recommendations; and providing leadership to junior engineers, technicians and apprentices. • Provide engineering and installation solutions for project delivery, ensuring compliance with customer specifications and QA standards. • Manage engineering tasks for large construction, fit‑out, and expansion projects. • Install and commission chillers, pumps, panels, AHUs, and low‑side piping systems. • Coordinate with structural, controls, and plumbing engineers and supervise related professional services. • Design mechanical work for industrial projects and develop cost‑saving measures. • Collaborate with project managers to align scope and improve project financials. • Maintain proactive customer interaction and support bid phases with technical recommendations. • Lead and mentor junior engineers, technicians, and apprentices.

What You Bring
The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree (4‑6 years experience) or a Diploma (6‑7 years experience) in Mechanical Engineering, possesses strong written and verbal communication skills, and is proficient with MS Windows applications such as MS Project, PowerPoint, Excel and Access. Hands‑on expertise in HVAC, refrigeration packages, chillers, pumps, low‑side piping and overall HVAC engineering is required. The role demands a focused, collaborative mindset, strong stakeholder‑engagement and organisational skills, the ability to work independently or within a team, flexibility in changing environments and demonstrated leadership and influence. • Hold a Bachelor’s (4‑6 yr) or Diploma (6‑7 yr) in Mechanical Engineering with strong communication skills. • Proficient in MS Project, PowerPoint, Excel, Access and other Windows applications. • Demonstrated hands‑on experience with HVAC, refrigeration packages, chillers, pumps and low‑side piping. • Exhibit strong stakeholder engagement, organizational, time‑management and leadership abilities.
