About the Role

The Project Manager I ensures quality workmanship and on‑time delivery for assigned projects, using United Grid Solutions resources efficiently. The role does not include hiring or terminating staff; those decisions rest with higher management. Primary responsibility is to complete tasks within client‑acceptable quality, schedule, and cost parameters while representing the company. The work is semi‑routine, following established procedures, and involves occasional information exchange requiring tact. The position has no supervisory responsibilities. • Coordinate and direct project workflow with internal and external stakeholders. • Communicate project status to management and stakeholders. • Develop project specifications and implement practices to meet objectives. • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive and proprietary information. • Ensure quality control and adherence to project schedules. • Efficiently utilize project resources. • Proactively identify and mitigate potential project problems or seize opportunities. • Conduct formal presentations to clients and management. • Maintain consistent communication on key project issues and resolutions. • Build client confidence and nurture positive relationships. • Provide multi‑disciplinary team leadership and budget management. • Apply basic algebra, geometry, and spreadsheet analysis for rates, ratios, and percentages. • Produce reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. • Present information effectively to customers, clients, and staff.

What You Bring

The incumbent oversees the overall operation of a project/contract, including safety, protection of company assets, and client relations. Successful performance requires appropriate education, experience, and competency, with PMP certification recommended. Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in construction or project management (or equivalent) and 5‑7 years of experience in engineering, construction, project controls, or procurement. PMP certification is preferred. Regular attendance is required. Required skills encompass strong organizational, planning, and negotiating abilities; leadership, strategic thinking, and communication with senior management and clients; proficiency with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Project, Teams); and ability to manage budgets and multi‑disciplinary teams. Physical demands involve regular standing, walking, sitting, and use of hands, with occasional climbing, stooping, and reaching; lifting up to 10–25 lb; and vision requirements such as close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment. • Understand scope of work and contract requirements. • Demonstrate command of schedule goals, milestones, and work approach.
