About the Role
The Principal QA Engineer ensures high‑quality releases for large‑scale features and drives automation improvements across Autodesk’s products. • Define and lead test strategies, plans, and release readiness for complex, large‑scale platform features. • Design, develop, and own scalable automated tests, tools, and frameworks integrated into CI/CD pipelines. • Establish and maintain consistent quality gates and coverage expectations across teams and releases. • Coach engineers on sustainable testing practices and deliver training to broaden automation adoption. • Collaborate with developers, architects, product managers, and designers as the quality engineering voice. • Influence quality decisions across engineering and management through data‑driven insights and industry best practices.

What You Bring
Are you an experienced SDET with a passion for sustainable software quality practices? Autodesk is reinventing how everything you see or touch is imagined, designed, and created. In our Construction Cloud we enable customers to manage complex collaboration throughout all phases of construction. Minimum qualifications include 5+ years of SDET experience with desktop or web automation, deep knowledge of testing concepts, and experience leading test strategies for complex features. Experience with multiple testing frameworks such as Cypress, Selenium, or TestComplete is required. Preferred qualifications include experience automating both desktop and web applications, architecting a scalable automation platform, and coaching engineers to adopt strong testing mindsets. Familiarity with modern front‑end frameworks like React and AI coding tools for test generation is a plus.
