About the Role
The Project Manager mentors junior staff, coordinates departmental budgets and project schedules, and reviews field efforts weekly to optimize utilization and meet billing goals. Responsibilities include preparing proposals, expressions of interest, and work authorizations, ensuring compliance with SUE standards and local permits, leading client and agency meetings, and collaborating with billing managers on invoices. The manager also identifies cross‑selling opportunities, manages multiple projects concurrently, and maintains detailed documentation such as reports, test‑hole data, and CAD files. • Mentor junior staff and provide constructive feedback. • Coordinate departmental budgets and project schedules with GDL, APM, and field supervisors. • Review weekly staff field efforts to optimize utilization and meet billing goals. • Prepare proposals, expressions of interest, and work authorizations for assigned projects. • Ensure compliance with SUE standards, ASCE 38, NYSDOT regulations, and local permits. • Lead client and agency meetings with clear oral and written communication. • Collaborate with billing managers to develop accurate project invoices. • Identify and pursue cross‑selling and new business opportunities. • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while overseeing staff performance. • Conduct technical presentations and marketing discussions with prospective clients. • Utilize MS Office, BlueBeam, Field Aware, and related software for deliverables. • Maintain detailed documentation including reports, test‑hole data, and CAD files. • Achieve project budgets, QC/QA plans, and on‑time delivery.

What You Bring
Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s degree (preferred) and have at least five years of experience at the Assistant PM or PM level with a strong SUE background. Required expertise includes NYSDOT specifications (18.2.1, 18.3.1, 18.6.1), ASCE 38, and related standards like CGA, PHMSA, and APWA. Candidates should possess a valid driver’s license, OSHA 10 & 30 certifications, strong communication skills, and proficiency with MS Office, BlueBeam, Field Aware, and similar software. • Hold a Bachelor’s degree (preferred) and 5+ years SUE project management experience. • Demonstrate expertise in ASCE 38, NYSDOT 18.2.1/18.3.1/18.6.1, CGA, PHMSA, APWA standards. • Possess valid driver’s license and OSHA 10/30 certifications. • Exhibit strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills. • Detail‑oriented with excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
