About the Role
Key duties include cleaning and maintaining welding tools, performing shielded metal arc, gas metal arc, and flux‑cored arc welding, and adhering to safety protocols. The welder must read and interpret blueprints and welding specifications, conduct visual inspections of welds, make repairs or modifications as needed, and operate MIG, TIG, and stick welding machines. Additional responsibilities involve assisting with general shop housekeeping and occasional metal fabrication tasks. • Clean and maintain structural welding tools and equipment. • Perform shielded metal arc, gas metal arc, and flux‑cored welding techniques. • Follow safety protocols and keep the work area organized. • Read and interpret blueprints, welding specifications, and symbols to fabricate structural components. • Conduct visual inspections of welds and execute necessary repairs or modifications. • Operate MIG, TIG, and stick welding machines safely. • Provide occasional metal fabrication and general shop housekeeping support.

What You Bring
Candidates should have at least two years of experience welding oilfield‑related equipment and possess knowledge of assembly, welding symbols, quality control, and safety. Effective verbal and written communication, solid math skills, proficiency in MIG, TIG, and stick welding, and familiarity with D1.1 welding code are required. Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team are essential. Physical requirements include passing a welding test on a 1/2" plate (open butt 6010 stringer 7018 filler in a vertical position), standing and walking for eight to twelve hours per shift, occasional lifting of up to 80 lb, climbing ladders, and repetitive hand and arm motions with excellent hand‑eye coordination and manual dexterity. • Hold at least two years of experience welding oilfield‑related equipment. • Demonstrate proficiency in MIG, TIG, and stick welding and knowledge of D1.1 welding code. • Possess strong mechanical aptitude, accurate math skills, and effective verbal/written communication. • Ability to work independently or collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment. • Meet physical demands: stand/walk 8‑12 hrs, lift up to 80 lb, climb ladders, and pass a welding test on 1/2" plate.
