About the Role

The role focuses on engineering steel structures, overseeing their design, fabrication, and erection within a high‑profile civil construction environment. The engineer will ensure quality, safety, and timely delivery while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. Key duties include managing steel‑related engineering activities throughout the project lifecycle, reviewing drawings and specifications for compliance, preparing calculations and material estimates, and conducting site visits to monitor installation and safety. The engineer will also coordinate steel procurement, assess risks, support scheduling and budgeting, and ensure adherence to codes, standards, and company policies. • Manage and coordinate steel engineering from design through erection. • Review structural steel drawings, specifications, and contracts for compliance. • Collaborate with design engineers, fabricators, contractors, and site teams. • Prepare engineering calculations, material take‑offs, and steel quantity estimates. • Conduct site visits to monitor steel installation, quality control, and safety. • Coordinate procurement and delivery of steel materials to meet project schedules. • Identify risks and develop mitigation plans specific to steel structures. • Support project scheduling, budgeting, and reporting with a focus on steel works. • Ensure adherence to relevant codes, standards, and company policies. • Provide technical guidance and training to junior engineers and field staff.

What You Bring

Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering and possess at least five years of project engineering experience with steel structures. Required knowledge includes steel fabrication, welding, erection, and relevant codes such as AISC, AWS, and Eurocodes. Proficiency with AutoCAD, Tekla Structures, STAAD.Pro, BIM, and construction‑management software is essential, and a PMP certification or PE licensure is preferred. • Require a Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering and 5+ years of steel project experience. • Proficient in AutoCAD, Tekla Structures, STAAD.Pro or equivalent engineering software. • Knowledge of AISC, AWS, Eurocodes and familiarity with BIM and construction management tools. • Strong problem‑solving, communication, and multitasking abilities. • Project management certification (PMP) or professional engineering licensure preferred.

Benefits
