About the Role
The Payroll Specialist is responsible for collecting timekeeping information, applying various deductions, and issuing pay through a computerized system for union, hourly, and exempt employees. This onsite role pays $31.92 per hour. Key duties include gathering and entering employee hours, processing weekly or bi‑weekly payroll, ensuring calculations comply with policy and regulations, managing deductions and benefits records, maintaining confidential payroll files, and resolving any pay‑related issues. • Collect and enter employee timekeeping data for union, hourly, and exempt staff. • Process weekly/bi‑weekly payroll, including calculations, deductions, and pay‑checks. • Verify payroll accuracy against company policy, contracts, and federal/state regulations. • Manage payroll deductions such as taxes, child support, 401(k), benefits, and ensure proper ledger posting. • Maintain up‑to‑date employee payroll files and confidential records. • Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee pay inquiries. • Generate payroll‑related documents, statements, and verification letters as needed. • Collaborate with internal teams to improve payroll and timekeeping processes. • Use payroll software, Microsoft Excel, and Outlook efficiently for data entry and reporting.

What You Bring
Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED, at least two years of high‑volume payroll experience, proficiency with payroll software, Microsoft Excel, and Outlook, strong communication skills, US citizenship, ability to obtain an intelligence‑community clearance, a valid driver’s license, and the physical ability to lift 50 pounds. • Meet mandatory qualifications: high school diploma, 2 years high‑volume payroll experience, US citizenship, ability to obtain clearance, valid driver’s license, and lift 50 lb.
