About the Role

Primary purpose of the position is to perform installation, inspection, maintenance and repair work on mechanical equipment such as packing pumps and valves, disconnecting, connecting, and insulating pipes, welding, and operating machine tools where close tolerances are not involved. Assist mechanics of higher classification by performing tasks such as disassembling and assembling equipment, rolling and expanding tubes, repairing, and resealing valves. Perform maintenance and repair work on buildings and equipment. • Perform installation, inspection, maintenance, and repair of mechanical equipment (packing pumps, valves, pipe work, welding, machine tools). • Assist higher‑rated mechanics with disassembly/assembly, tube rolling/expanding, valve repair and resealing. • Conduct maintenance and repair on buildings and equipment.

What You Bring

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma, passing pre‑employment testing, ability to work different shifts, and ability to receive unescorted nuclear access. Candidates must also have either an associate’s degree in a technical field, two years of related mechanical military experience, or two years of journeyperson experience as a Pipefitter, Boilermaker, or Millwright (including equivalent industrial experience). • Must have a high school diploma, pass pre‑employment testing, work flexible shifts, and obtain unescorted nuclear access. • Qualify with either an associate’s degree in a technical field, two years of related mechanical military experience, or two years as a journeyperson Pipefitter, Boilermaker, or Millwright (including equivalent industrial experience).
