About the Role

You will lead a team that delivers high‑quality cleaning services within the retail environment, while also taking part in cleaning tasks yourself. The role involves supervising staff, ensuring a clean store, and contributing directly to the service. Key responsibilities include recruiting, training and rostering the cleaning team, managing their timesheets, and maintaining flexible working patterns to meet business needs. Health and safety is the top priority, and you will monitor and manage safety for yourself and all on‑site personnel, provided with the necessary equipment and support. • Supervise a cleaning team and perform cleaning duties in the store. • Recruit, train, and create rotas for staff, ensuring accurate timesheet processing. • Uphold health and safety standards for all on‑site personnel. • Manage stock, record time, and handle employee relations such as investigations and disciplinary actions.

Benefits

The In‑Store Cleaning Manager role is based at Sainsbury’s Otley, offering a £13.21 hourly rate for a 30‑hour week spread over five days. Scheduled hours run early mornings from Sunday to Thursday, with Fridays and Saturdays off. Overtime rates will be confirmed during the interview.
