About the Role
In this role you will plan, facilitate and document critical HSE Governance and Assurance meetings, track and close actions, maintain meeting cadence, and coordinate updates to the HSE Management System, training catalogue and risk profiles. You will also develop the annual internal audit plan, serve as the point of contact for ISO 45001/14001 and internal audits, and act as the subject owner for HSE Governance, Risk & Assurance. • Lead planning, facilitation and documentation of HSE Governance & Assurance meetings. • Ensure timely closure and escalation of meeting actions. • Maintain cadence of HSE Governance, Risk & Assurance meetings. • Oversee updates to the HSE Management System and training catalogue (Leatro). • Drive bi‑annual updates of Group and Business HSE Risk Profiles. • Support Head of HSE Compliance with risk and assurance updates for the Executive Team. • Develop, manage and communicate the annual internal HSE audit plan. • Serve as primary contact for ISO 45001/14001 certification and internal audits. • Advise on improvements to HSE governance, assurance processes, IT platforms and resources. • Monitor governance trends and advise HSE Leadership on emerging risks. • Maintain up‑to‑date, auditable Governance, Risk & Assurance documentation.

What You Bring
The HSE Governance, Risk and Assurance Lead will join the Derby team (hybrid, minimum three days on‑site) and report to the HSE Compliance function, which acts as the conscience for the organization by ensuring HSE commitments are delivered effectively and efficiently. The position requires a Chartered HSE Professional with experience in global HSE governance, risk, assurance and compliance, including building assurance programmes and knowledge of legal requirements. Strong organisational, communication and cross‑functional skills are essential, and experience working across jurisdictions and cultures is advantageous. The closing date for applications is 17 February 2026; candidates may be required to complete online cognitive and behavioural assessments as part of the selection process. • Chartered HSE Professional. • Proven experience in global HSE governance, risk, assurance and compliance. • Track record of building and overseeing worldwide assurance programmes. • Working knowledge of HSE legislation and standards. • Excellent organisational and communication abilities. • Experience collaborating across business functions and divisions. • Experience with multinational jurisdictions and cultures (preferred).
