About the Role
Key duties include interpreting load charts and hand signals, preparing and leveling surfaces, conducting daily equipment inspections, and assisting other craft workers as needed. • Read and interpret load charts • Interpret hand signals to determine material placement • Perform minor maintenance or cleaning of tools and equipment • Conduct daily equipment inspections, check fluids, refuel, and assess wear • Report malfunctioning equipment to supervisors • Prepare, fine‑tune, and level surfaces to specifications • Assist other craft workers as needed • Lift, push, or pull up to 50 lb (occasionally 100 lb) and perform repetitive hand/arm tasks • Operate cars, trucks, forklifts, and various hand/power tools • Climb and maintain balance on ladders, scaffolds, and steel/wood frameworks • Work on uneven, muddy, rocky, or sandy surfaces and in confined spaces • Perform sedentary to heavy work in adverse weather conditions • Make decisions and pay close attention to detail

What You Bring
The Dirt and Finish Operator must be certified and capable of operating various equipment such as a track hoe, rubber‑tire backhoe, front‑end loader, road grader, bulldozer, hoe ram, and ross carrier. The role requires learning and applying safety hazards, using tools and equipment safely, and working in plant operations or construction jobsite environments. The job demands physical stamina, including lifting up to 50 lb (occasionally 100 lb), climbing, walking on uneven terrain, and working in adverse weather or confined spaces. Effective communication, decision‑making, attention to detail, and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions are also required. • Communicate effectively with management and supervision • Read, write, and comprehend directions and safety policies • Concentrate amid distractions and adapt to varying work tempos
