About the Role

The Equipment Commissioning Manager (EqCM) supports the Equipment North America organization on startup, warranty, and service coordination. Reporting initially to the Regional Service Manager and later to the Branch Service Manager, the EqCM is accountable to the HVAC Equipment Operations Manager and works closely with the Customer Resource Coordinator to meet field service labor requirements and serve as the single point of contact for equipment contract services. • Support EqNA sales by determining service scope (S/R vs Service Mechanical) during project estimates. • Provide custom quotes for service items outside PCAT policy. • Verify technician training for secured contracts and coordinate training with TBSM. • Attend RTO meetings on complex or PSA projects to identify service/warranty concerns. • Validate PSA details with SAE/Agent Project Owner and supply required documentation. • Lead weekly service turnover meetings with SAEs and BOM to monitor service scopes. • Introduce Connected Service capabilities to customers. • Schedule and adjust all equipment work directly with EqNA customers. • Ensure asset records in NxGen are correctly created and assigned. • Coordinate FOB Destination deliveries and communicate updates to SAE and customers. • Confirm warranty information in Warranty Navigator and resolve discrepancies. • Manage Long‑Term Storage requirements in coordination with SAE and customers. • Promote use of Pronto Forms for pre‑start‑up checklists and technician inspections. • Complete equipment start‑up, resolve issues, and deliver start‑up documentation. • Record start‑up dates in NxGen and register equipment in Warranty Navigator for certification. • Ensure prompt invoicing of service requests upon scope completion. • Serve as first point of contact for warranty requests, dispatch technicians, and file claims. • Escalate and resolve obstacles to warranty work, including parts and resource availability. • Provide technical support to EqNA customers as needed. • Manage multiple projects simultaneously with professionalism.

What You Bring

We seek candidates with at least ten years of industry experience or a technical engineering/construction degree, strong Microsoft Office skills, excellent communication, and the ability to manage multiple projects with attention to detail. Preferred credentials include a BA in Engineering or Construction, HVAC equipment knowledge, and advanced MS Office proficiency. • 10+ years industry experience or a degree in Technical Engineering or Construction. • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), Adobe Writer, and Windows OS. • Ability to work independently and collaboratively. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Strong interpersonal and collaborative abilities. • Effective conflict resolution skills. • Represent Johnson Controls positively across technical levels. • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. • BA in Engineering or Construction (preferred). • Knowledge of HVAC equipment (preferred). • Proficiency with MS Office Suite (preferred).
