About the Role
Interns will assist accountants in meeting client contractual billing and accounts‑receivable requirements, process vendor and subcontractor invoices, and ensure lien waivers, contracts, and insurance documentation are in place. They will contribute to the monthly close by posting or accruing client bills and project costs, respond to internal and external audit requests, and facilitate data entry for project‑specific vendor invoices, preparing multi‑project invoices for the central financial center. Additional duties include vendor setup, sales and use tax reporting, collection of client tax‑exempt certificates, preparation of owner payment applications, and providing periodic progress reports to supervisors. • Assist accountant with billing and accounts‑receivable compliance. • Process vendor invoices and maintain up‑to‑date accounts payable. • Process subcontractor invoices, submit lien waivers, and verify contracts and insurance. • Support monthly close by posting or accruing client bills and project costs. • Respond to internal and external audit requests. • Enter project‑specific vendor invoices and prepare multi‑project invoices for central posting. • Perform administrative tasks: vendor setup, sales/use tax reporting, collect client tax‑exempt certificates. • Help compile documentation for owner payment applications. • Provide supervisors with periodic progress reports. • Apply academic knowledge to real‑world finance tasks. • Adhere to company work hours, policies, and professional conduct standards. • Maintain professional relationships with employees and customers. • Participate in conferences and learning opportunities offered by the company.

What You Bring
The role is a temporary finance internship located in Atlanta, GA, reporting to the Accounting Manager, Accountant, or Senior Accountant within Operational Finance. It is classified under the Finance job family and is a non‑exempt position that provides financial services support to profit centers. Candidates must be enrolled in an accredited four‑year college or university, preferably studying Accounting or Finance, and have completed at least one year of coursework. They should demonstrate interpersonal skills through leadership or community involvement, be eager to learn Turner’s finance strategy and values, and exhibit professionalism, proactivity, attention to detail, and strong organizational and communication abilities. Proficiency with data entry, databases, MS Office, and intermediate to advanced Excel is required. The position involves physical activities such as climbing stairs and ladders, handling tools, and occasional lifting of heavy items, and it is performed on construction sites where exposure to noise, weather, and potential hazards is common.
