About the Role
As a Research and Development Senior Technical IPT Manager you will manage and coordinate system‑level challenges across autonomy, sensors, data fusion, communication, flight operations, and other ISR capabilities for the Air Force Research Lab. You will lead Agile software development, run sprint demos and reviews, and drive the capability roadmap. The position also involves technical investigations, interchange meetings, and supporting AFRL and AFLCMC engagements, while advising the Chief Engineer. • Manage Agile software development process and ensure milestone delivery. • Organize and run Sprint demos and reviews. • Lead capability roadmap definition and prioritization. • Oversee software product delivery, including packaging, deployment, documentation, and test artifacts. • Support architecture and design of autonomous functionality for mission effects. • Coordinate technical interactions within the team. • Lead technical investigations and interchange meetings. • Support technical engagements with AFRL and AFLCMC projects. • Coordinate IPTs for test, evaluation, and demonstration efforts. • Lead KBR team supporting AFRL R&D, aligning with objectives. • Advise the Chief Engineer on technical issues. • Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment.

What You Bring
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related field. • Minimum 15 years experience in program management or systems engineering. • Proven experience with Agile software development. • Strong background in autonomous systems, ISR operations, and military sensor technology. • Experience with current UAV systems and software development. • Proficiency in Model‑Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and modeling/simulation. • Active Top‑Secret security clearance (preferred). • Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related field. • Experience on AFRL and AFLCMC projects. • Track record in fast‑paced innovation and development programs. • Familiarity with defense/aerospace industry standards and regulations. • Strong leadership and team management skills. • Excellent communication and technical writing abilities.
