About the Role
Key responsibilities include working closely with local management to monitor and manage HSSE activities and risks, driving an improved health & safety culture; ensuring assurance protocols for employees, visitors and contractors; designing, delivering and evaluating engaging HSSE training aligned with legislation and company policies; managing compliance with security regulations including Flag, Port State, Host States and cyber security per ISM code; and supporting continuous improvement of HSSE systems and operational strategies. • Monitor and manage HSSE activities and risks with local management to improve safety culture. • Implement assurance protocols for employees, visitors, and contractors. • Design, deliver and evaluate HSSE training programs aligned with legislation and company policy. • Ensure compliance with security regulations, including Flag, Port State, Host States and cyber security per ISM code. • Support continuous improvement of HSSE systems and operational strategies.

What You Bring
The successful candidate will have a proven record in HSSE management in high‑risk environments, delivering effective training programmes and managing regulatory compliance, and will be based across the Irish Seas with extensive travel to ports and vessels. The ideal candidate will have 3‑5 years’ experience in an HSSE management role within ports, marine or logistics environments, be knowledgeable in incident investigation techniques such as ICAM, have proven experience delivering HSSE training in high‑risk settings, possess strong knowledge of relevant legislation (Health & Safety at Work Act, MARPOL, ISPS Code) and demonstrate excellent communication and presentation skills. Desirable qualifications include teaching credentials such as PTTLS or AET Level 3 or equivalent. The role is based in Larne but involves extensive travel to ports and vessels. • 3–5 years HSSE management experience in ports, marine or logistics environments. • Knowledge of incident investigation techniques such as ICAM. • Proven delivery of HSSE training in high‑risk environments. • Strong understanding of Health & Safety at Work Act, MARPOL and ISPS Code. • Excellent communication and presentation skills. • Desirable: teaching qualifications (PTTLS, AET Level 3 or equivalent). • Role based in Larne with extensive travel to ports and vessels.
