What You Bring

The Mechanical Intern position offers hands‑on experience on a diverse portfolio of projects—including healthcare, data centers, water‑wastewater, transportation, aviation, hospitality, and corporate real estate—while working under the direct supervision of a professional or project manager. We require candidates to be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate engineering program, demonstrate strong attention to detail, and possess solid problem‑solving and communication skills. Basic Microsoft Office proficiency and a commitment to our employee‑owned culture are also essential. Preferred applicants will have completed three years toward their degree with at least a 3.0 GPA, be familiar with software such as Autodesk Revit, IESVE, and Trane Trace 700/3D, and ideally be local to the area. • Have completed three years toward a degree with a 3.0+ GPA. • Demonstrate knowledge of Autodesk Revit, IESVE, and Trane Trace 700/3D software. • Be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate engineering program. • Exhibit strong attention to detail. • Possess effective problem‑solving and communication skills. • Have basic Microsoft Office proficiency. • Show commitment to actively participating in HDR’s employee‑owned culture.
