About the Role
Mortenson is seeking an Operator to safely and efficiently run a variety of construction equipment in accordance with company safety policies and procedures. The role involves following work plans, performing routine maintenance, and reporting any equipment malfunctions. • Operate equipment such as blade, dozer, loader, scraper, forklift/telehandler, crane, bobcat/skid‑steer, boom lifts/aerial lifts, roller, backhoe, and track crane • Follow prescribed safety regulations and maintain clear, orderly housekeeping • Perform routine maintenance, observe equipment operation, and detect malfunctions • Follow work plans and pre‑task cards • Build relationships with individuals from diverse backgrounds and organizational levels • Perform repetitive hand, arm, and leg movements

Mortenson does not accept unsolicited agency contacts without a valid agreement. • Hold required equipment certifications • Minimum one (1) year of related experience • Possess a current driver’s license with proper classification and endorsements as required by law • Demonstrate strong teamwork, positive attitude, professional customer service skills, and attention to detail; interpret safety rules, operating manuals, and load charts • Operate equipment using controls, with knowledge of equipment functions and basic math skills • Work independently with active listening, effective communication, and openness to diverse input and feedback • Lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lb (over 50 lb only with assistance or equipment)
