About the Role
The position involves preparing geotechnical reports, managing construction materials testing projects, and providing technical solutions to clients. The incumbent will prepare proposals, manage budgets, and handle change orders and invoicing while ensuring project deadlines are met. Additional duties include preparing drilling packages, researching local geologic history, supervising field crews, classifying soils, and mentoring junior staff. The role requires collaboration with clients through meetings and reporting. • Prepare geotechnical reports with analysis and recommendations. • Manage construction materials testing (CMT) projects and review daily reports. • Resolve project issues and train field staff. • Develop geotechnical and CMT proposals, manage budgets, and issue change orders and invoices. • Host or attend client meetings to discuss reports and provide technical solutions. • Prepare drilling packages and obtain utility clearances. • Research local geologic history. • Supervise field crews and address rig access challenges. • Classify soil types and assign laboratory testing. • Mentor and support staff project managers and technicians.

What You Bring
Candidates must hold a BS or MS in civil engineering, geological engineering, geology or a related field, with at least two years of relevant experience. Professional Engineer or Professional Geologist licensure is preferred, and a state license is required for the title used. • Hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Geological Engineering, Geology, or similar. • Minimum of 2 years related experience. • Professional Engineer (P.E.) or Professional Geologist (P.G.) licensure preferred. • Maintain a valid state professional license for the work title. • Possess a valid driver’s license if driving for ECS subsidiaries.
