Associate Director - Project Manager - Water
Lead delivery of multiple water infrastructure projects, managing teams, budgets, and stakeholders.

About the Role
• Lead and manage water and water‑recycling projects within the AMP8 programme, ensuring compliance with client governance, risk, cost and change‑control procedures. • Oversee the full project lifecycle from concept to handover, preparing and updating project plans, monitoring progress and mitigating risks. • Drive design development, conduct surveys and site visits, and produce works information aligned with the business case. • Administer NEC3/4 contracts, manage contractor performance, payments and related documentation. • Deliver projects to quality standards, agreed timelines and approved budgets. • Create specifications, tender documents, risk registers and schedules together with procurement and production teams. • Ensure compliance with environmental, CDM 2015, health and safety, water quality and statutory regulations. • Perform regular reviews, inspections, audits and manage third‑party liaisons such as planning applications, land/access and power supply negotiations. • Manage project budgets, identify risks and implement mitigation strategies. • Lead design and consultant teams collaboratively to meet strategic KPIs. • Foster strong stakeholder engagement and maintain senior stakeholder relationships. • Promote safety, diversity, inclusion and wellbeing within the team.

What You Bring
Within our consulting business we combine leading‑edge practical expertise with project delivery consultancy to unlock the potential of every project. • Minimum 8 + years project management experience in the water sector or a regulated industry, managing large complex infrastructure/capital schemes. • Proficiency with digital tools such as Oracle and Primavera P6. • Professional membership (RICS, CIOB, APM, ICE or equivalent). • Demonstrated commercial and financial acumen. • Experience leading large, diverse teams and building senior stakeholder relationships. • Knowledge of carbon and sustainability considerations for project outcomes. • Full UK driving licence (essential). • Willingness to work seconded in the South‑East and travel to multiple sites.
