About the Role
The Data Scientist Subject Matter Expert serves as the senior technical authority for advanced data fusion, analytics and automation. The role leads research, development and transition of next‑generation AI/ML tools into operational settings, ensuring scalability, reliability and mission relevance across the ground enterprise architecture. Key duties include providing senior technical leadership in designing, developing, evaluating and transitioning data‑driven solutions; maturing AI/ML capabilities through prototyping, proof‑of‑concept, testing and deployment; overseeing analytic model development, data pipelines, data quality and algorithm performance; and managing technology transition, integration paths and stakeholder coordination. • Lead design, development, evaluation, and operational transition of advanced data fusion, analytics, and automated workflow solutions. • Prototype, test, and scale AI/ML models and analytic pipelines for mission‑critical deployment. • Oversee analytic model creation, data pipeline construction, data quality assessment, and algorithm performance evaluation. • Manage technology transition, integration planning, and coordination with operational stakeholders and acquisition teams. • Provide technical guidance on research and development of advanced analytics, automation, and multi‑source data exploitation.

What You Bring
Candidates must have 15‑20+ years of experience in data science, AI/ML or advanced analytics supporting national security or Intelligence Community missions, a bachelor’s degree in a related technical field, and an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph. Preferred qualifications include a master’s or doctoral degree, experience with DoD/IC data architectures, large‑scale analytic platforms and cloud‑based AI/ML environments, and a background in R&D programs for automation and predictive analytics. • Hold 15‑20+ years of data science/AI‑ML experience supporting national security or Intelligence Community missions. • Possess a bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics or a related field; master’s/PhD preferred. • Maintain an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
