About the Role
Riggers are responsible for safely lifting and moving heavy equipment and materials. They must inspect all rigging, plan lifts based on load weight and equipment capacity, attach loads using appropriate hardware, and signal operators during the lift. • Act as safety observer on equipment lifts. • Inspect all rigging equipment before use. • Plan or assist in planning lifts, considering load weight and equipment capacity. • Attach loads using slings, chains, shackles, hooks, cables, and other rigging gear. • Tie rope around loads for guiding during lift and positioning. • Signal equipment operator with hand signals for directional and placement instructions. • Guide and position loads while climbing structures as needed. • Assist in stabilizing loads before detaching from equipment. • Detach loads and remove rigging equipment. • Place and remove outrigger pads from cranes and heavy equipment.

What You Bring
ZACHRY is seeking an experienced NCCO/NCCER Industrial Rigger for a Baseload Maintenance position at the Cameron, LA Cheniere Site. The role offers no per diem and requires a valid TWIC card and current driver’s license. Candidates need at least four years of journeyman rigging experience, the ability to complete the NCCO/NCCER assessment, and the physical capability to work at heights over 300 ft. Reliable transportation, required tools, and compliance with all safety procedures are also mandatory. The position involves extensive standing, walking, climbing, and lifting up to 50 lb, often in varied weather conditions. Workers must wear PPE such as hard hats, safety glasses, hearing protection, respirators, gloves, and steel‑toe boots, and they must have good visual acuity and depth perception. While the role has no direct reports, the rigger may occasionally oversee helpers and laborers. The workplace is a safe, drug‑free environment that requires a background check and drug screening before employment. • Must have 4+ years journeyman rigging experience and NCCO/NCCER certification (or obtain within 30 days). • Must be able to work at heights exceeding 300 ft and lift/move up to 50 lb. • Must possess required tools, reliable transportation, and a TWIC card. • Required certifications: NCCCO Rigger Level I, NCCCO Rigger Level II, NCCER Industrial Rigging. • Preferred: current Zachry employee, former Zachry Industrial experience, industrial ironworker background. • Required tools include a locked toolbox, adjustable wrench, spud wrenches, magnetic level, hand level, channel locks, leather gloves, tape measures, hammer, wedges, rain gear, and safety equipment.
