About the Role

The electrician will analyze and correct electrical problems, repair and overhaul equipment and controls, and maintain a strong focus on safety excellence. Responsibilities include interpreting wiring diagrams, performing emergency and scheduled repairs, and adhering to company safety procedures for equipment startup and shutdown. • Analyze circuits, wiring diagrams, and drawings to install, repair, calibrate, service, or replace electronic devices and systems. • Perform emergency and scheduled electrical repairs, installations, and inspections per supervisor specifications. • Service electronic equipment by testing and replacing faulty components, circuits, and printed circuit boards. • Install, repair, and maintain communication and power distribution cables, including splicing as required. • Work with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and high‑voltage (480 V) systems. • Fabricate non‑commercial parts using machine and hand tools when needed. • Advise operators and mechanics on potential electrical hazards and corrective actions. • Notify supervisors of dangerous equipment and take appropriate corrective measures.

What You Bring

Qualified candidates need 2–4 years of electrical experience, preferably a Journeyman Electrician license or the ability to obtain one, and industrial experience—ideally in a mining environment. Required skills include working with high‑voltage (480 V) systems, PLCs, fabricating parts when necessary, and the physical ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and lift up to 50 lb. • Possess 2–4 years of electrical experience; Journeyman Electrician license preferred or obtainable. • Industrial electrical experience, especially in mining environments, strongly preferred. • Ability to work overtime, outdoors in all weather conditions, and lift up to 50 lb.
