About the Role

The Temporary Cleaner (Part Time) coordinates, schedules, and supervises building cleaning staff to ensure offices, hallways, stairs, and other areas remain clean and orderly. The role includes performing basic cleaning duties and may extend to supervising outdoor grounds maintenance. • Supervise, schedule, and assign daily interior cleaning tasks such as waste removal, floor care, dusting, restroom upkeep, and window cleaning. • Inspect completed work, issue supplies, and maintain inventory of cleaning materials. • Assist with screening, hiring, training, and performance reviews of cleaning staff and recommend promotions or transfers. • Prepare and present reports on room occupancy, labor hours, staff assignments, tasks performed, and department expenses. • Oversee exterior cleaning, snow removal, and basic maintenance of building grounds, including parking lots, walkways, and landscaping. • Assign staff to handle minor repairs like painting, light bulb replacement, window replacement, furniture moves, door repairs, and simple plumbing. • Respond promptly to spills, emergencies, and safety issues, notifying management as needed. • Ensure safe operation, training, and proper use of cleaning equipment, tools, chemicals, and snow‑removal machinery. • Manage Safety Data Sheets, train staff on hazard communication, and oversee environmentally‑friendly disposal of cleaning agents.
