About the Role

As a Programme Controller you will be responsible for controlling and delivering smaller, lower‑complexity programmes or aspects of project portfolios. You will monitor, review and report programme status, variances and key performance indicators in line with the Project Management Plan, identify trends, highlight anomalies and propose corrective actions, and ensure effective controls and accurate stakeholder reporting. You will also facilitate and manage risk and opportunity activities. • Control and deliver lower‑complexity programmes or project portfolio elements. • Monitor, review and report programme status, variances and KPIs per the Project Management Plan. • Identify trends, flag anomalies and propose corrective actions to meet performance specifications. • Implement effective controls and ensure accurate, timely stakeholder reporting. • Facilitate risk and opportunity management activities.

What You Bring

The role follows a hybrid working pattern, requiring attendance in the office for a minimum of three days per week. The position is based in either Bristol or Heybridge. Rolls‑Royce values agility, boldness, collaboration and simplicity, and seeks candidates who embody these principles. Required qualifications include a degree or equivalent industry experience, membership of a professional body and progress towards an APM PMQ qualification, at least one year of relevant programme or project experience, and knowledge of project management and control processes. Candidates must be able to obtain UK Security Check (SC) clearance without caveats and hold UK nationality; dual nationals will undergo additional scrutiny. Rolls‑Royce will support the security clearance process and may require an online assessment as part of the selection process. • Hold a degree or equivalent industry experience; member of a professional body progressing towards APM PMQ. • Minimum one year of relevant programme/project experience and familiarity with project control processes. • Pursue APM PMQ/PMI qualification or demonstrate equivalent knowledge. • Obtain UK Security Check clearance; UK nationality required.
