About the Role
The role holds overall responsibility for the codes and certifications functional area supporting Killark brands in industrial and commercial markets. It oversees product standards, certifications, and installation codes that influence compliance, marketability, and the strategic positioning of both existing and new product offerings. The role collaborates with internal departments and external bodies to ensure product compliance and manage certification documentation. It coordinates with engineering teams to align safety certifications with market requirements and stays informed on relevant industry standards. • Organize and administer approvals, certifications, documentation, and site certifications, liaising with notified bodies and conformity assessment entities. • Collaborate with New Product Development Engineers to obtain third‑party product safety certifications. • Monitor and engage with standards organizations (NEMA, UL, CSA, NFPA, CEC, IECEx, ATEX) to support the project portfolio. • Prepare and submit certification documentation to agencies such as CSA and UL for hazardous‑location equipment. • Provide certification input to cross‑functional development teams and support new sales opportunities through standards and code development. • Represent Hubbell’s interests in external standards, codes, and certification development groups. • Plan and schedule certification testing, offering guidance to engineering and technical service staff on certification matters. • Review instructions and publications for new or modified products. • Assist in establishing multiple listings, resolving variation notices, and handling industry file reviews. • Serve as liaison to certification auditors during factory surveillance visits.

What You Bring
• Apply knowledge of UL 60079, UL 1203, CSA 30, and NFPA 70 standards where applicable. • Possess at least 5 years of design engineering experience focused on codes and standards (UL, CSA, IEC, NFPA). • Demonstrate excellent organizational and communication skills. • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technology field.
