About the Role
The Legal Counsel will support Brookfield Renewable Group’s Southeast Asian investment strategy, providing legal oversight for transactions, capital‑management initiatives and regulatory filings. The role covers key markets such as the Philippines, Malaysia and Vietnam, and coordinates with internal teams and external counsel. • Manage legal aspects of mergers, acquisitions, and disposals, including due diligence and deal documentation. • Provide legal coverage for Brookfield’s renewable‑energy strategy in the Philippines, Malaysia and Vietnam. • Review and advise on capital‑management initiatives and related documentation. • Assist with preparation and submission of regulatory filings for transactions. • Oversee external legal engagements, liaise with counsel, and communicate advice to internal stakeholders. • Monitor legal issues of existing portfolio companies, including contracts, litigation and regulatory matters. • Collaborate with internal functions such as Tax, Accounting, Risk and Compliance. • Lead ad‑hoc legal projects and duties as required.

What You Bring
Candidates must hold a law degree with strong academic performance, be qualified in Singapore or another common‑law jurisdiction, and possess at least eight years of post‑admission experience in finance‑related practice, preferably from a top‑tier law firm or an in‑house senior role. Experience in the renewable‑energy sector and familiarity with Southeast‑Asian markets are highly valued, alongside excellent communication, negotiation and relationship‑building skills. • Demonstrate clear communication, persuasive negotiation and strong relationship‑building abilities. • Exhibit personal drive, integrity, resilience and a commitment to continuous learning.
