About the Role

The role’s primary purpose is to manufacture customized products that meet customer specifications and prepare completed orders for shipment. Key duties include examining customer specifications, fabricating work pieces, retrieving the correct materials, inspecting finished items for quality, packaging for shipment, installing protective devices, maintaining a clean work area, and following all safety policies. Employees select the appropriate processes from prescribed rules, seek supervisor guidance on non‑routine issues, and operate under close supervision with limited independent judgment. • Examine customer specs, drawings, or blueprints to determine product characteristics and setup. • Fabricate work pieces according to work order specifications. • Retrieve and use correct materials for fabrication tasks. • Inspect finished pieces using visual, tactile, and measurement tools to ensure standards. • Package finished items for shipping and install protective devices to prevent damage. • Maintain a clean, organized work area and adhere to safety policies. • Follow prescribed processes and seek supervisor guidance for non‑routine issues. • Perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting items over 50 lb and occasional overnight travel (<10%).

What You Bring

The work environment is generally comfortable but may involve exposure to temperature extremes, moving machinery, loud noises, and fumes. Physical exertion such as walking, standing, stooping, climbing, and lifting heavy or awkward items (50+ lb) is required, with occasional overnight travel (under 10%). A high‑school diploma or GED is strongly preferred, and candidates should have 0–2 years of relevant experience. Experience with fabrication shop equipment and metalworking is preferred. • Required: HS diploma/GED and 0‑2 years experience; preferred metalworking/fabrication experience.
