About the Role

The HazMat Retail Driver Technician operates Class A or B trucks in a less‑than‑truckload capacity to pick up retail, pharmacy, and industrial waste. The role includes sorting, packaging, verifying, securing, and transporting waste to temporary storage or treatment facilities while providing excellent customer service. The driver must maintain electronic logs, manifests, and work orders and follow all government regulations. Core duties involve performing LTL pickups, maintaining company equipment, and ensuring customer satisfaction. The technician completes vehicle and DOT pre‑trip/post‑trip inspections, documents manifests and work orders, and processes both hazardous and non‑hazardous materials as required. Additional responsibilities include maintaining good housekeeping on‑site, supporting lab‑pack and field‑service projects, and performing other related tasks as assigned.

What You Bring

Preferred qualifications include knowledge of electrical, plumbing, hydraulic, and compressor systems, as well as pumps, motors, motor controls, instrumentation, and metal fabrication. Candidates should be skilled with hand and shop tools, demonstrate accuracy and attention to detail, and be able to prioritize multiple responsibilities. A CDL with a Hazmat endorsement is preferred.

Compensation ranges from $24.10 to $33.10 per hour, varying by locality.
