About the Role
The Project Manager I will lead design‑build/engineering‑procure‑construct (EPC) projects from inception to completion, overseeing prime contract administration, engineering, design, procurement, scheduling, and construction teams. This role also supervises field operations, audits subcontractor work for compliance, and may require temporary on‑site management. Key duties include directing integrated DB/EPC teams, managing contracts and purchase orders, ensuring safety, quality, and environmental standards, and providing performance reporting. The PM I coordinates closely with customers, resolves disputes, oversees health‑ and quality‑assurance plans, handles RFIs, conducts value engineering, and drives procurement and scheduling activities. • Lead and coordinate integrated Design‑Build/EPC teams from project start through completion. • Administer the prime contract, construction subcontracts, and purchase orders. • Ensure compliance with customer safety, quality, and environmental expectations. • Plan, execute, and report on overall project performance metrics. • Maintain direct communication with customers to foster satisfaction and coordination. • Identify and resolve potential disputes efficiently. • Oversee implementation of project‑specific health‑safety and QA/QC plans. • Manage Requests for Information (RFIs) and provide timely responses. • Conduct value‑engineering and constructability reviews to optimize designs. • Produce procurement status reports and define work segregation for subcontract and PO packages. • Develop and review subcontractor and supplier scope, pricing, and schedule exhibits. • Coordinate local bidding efforts with procurement teams. • Review and approve subcontract and purchase order invoices and submittals. • Create initial project schedules in collaboration with design, scheduling, procurement, and field staff. • Monitor progress of conceptual, intermediate, and final engineering designs and construction activities. • Administer contract changes and develop project‑specific Schedule of Values. • Submit and expedite progress payments to ensure cash flow. • Prepare monthly progress, budget forecast, and schedule management reports. • Lead project close‑out activities, warranty administration, and post‑construction cost reviews. • Mentor and train junior staff members.

What You Bring
Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience, and bring at least five years of construction project management experience, preferably on power‑delivery DB/EPC projects. They should possess deep knowledge of transmission, distribution, and substation construction, as well as strong problem‑solving, communication, and organizational skills, and be proficient with Primavera P6 and Microsoft Office. • Hold a bachelor’s degree in Business, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience. • Possess 5+ years of construction project management experience, preferably on power‑delivery DB/EPC projects. • Demonstrate thorough knowledge of transmission, distribution, and substation construction methods and equipment. • Exhibit strong problem‑solving, team‑building, and communication skills. • Proficient in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Office suite. • Ability to travel up to 50 % of the time based on project requirements.
