About the Role

Reporting to the Major Project Sales Director, the sales professional will sell enterprise‑level, financially accretive building solutions to facility owners for large new‑construction and renovation projects. The role targets key vertical markets such as healthcare, education, and industrial, promoting Johnson Controls' integrated HVAC, Building Automation, fire, security, and digital technologies to C‑level decision makers. The incumbent will champion the JCI value proposition by delivering comprehensive ROI‑focused solutions, cultivating long‑term relationships, and guiding prospects through complex buying processes. They will leverage deep knowledge of construction delivery methods and client business objectives to align JCI offerings with outcomes like patient experience, operational efficiency, and high‑quality service. Operating with minimal supervision, the sales leader will manage a portfolio of high‑volume opportunities, partner with Strategic Account Managers, and use JCI's sales process and tools to position the company as a unique supplier‑designer‑digital partner. Responsibilities include qualifying prospects, developing customized proposals, negotiating contracts, and tracking progress in Salesforce to secure progressive commitments. • Sell integrated HVAC, BAS, fire, security, and digital solutions to C‑level owners • Build and manage long‑term relationships with facility owners and consultants • Navigate complex construction and renovation projects across key verticals • Utilize Salesforce and JCI sales tools to track pipeline and secure commitments • Develop and negotiate proposals that deliver ROI and accretive value

What You Bring

The role requires 7‑10 years of progressive field sales experience at the C‑level within the construction industry, a bachelor’s degree in business, construction, engineering, or a related discipline, and proficiency with delivery methodologies and building systems such as DBIA, AIA, and BMS. Strong initiative, interpersonal communication, and the ability to travel up to 50% nationwide are essential; an MBA is preferred. • Minimum 7‑10 years progressive field sales experience at the C‑level • Construction industry expertise and knowledge of DBIA, AIA, BMS standards • Bachelor’s degree in business, construction, engineering or related field; MBA preferred • Ability to travel up to 50% nationwide
