About the Role

The Driver/Operator safely operates a heavy‑duty truck on assigned transfer routes, adhering to OSHA, DOT, and all local, state, and federal regulations. Pre‑ and post‑trip vehicle inspections are performed using the Driver Vehicle Inspection Report, and any safety issues are reported immediately to the Operations Manager or Dispatch. • Operate a heavy‑duty truck safely on designated transfer routes. • Conduct pre‑ and post‑trip vehicle inspections using the DVIR and report any issues. • Follow OSHA, DOT, and all local, state, and federal regulations for fleet operations. • Report unsafe situations, incidents, accidents, injuries, or property damage to Operations Manager or Dispatch. • Communicate customer requests, blocked containers, missed pickups, and route problems to Dispatch or Operations Manager. • Dump containers, clean the customer site, and position containers upright with lids secured and driveways unobstructed. • Complete and submit customer tickets for excess yardage removal. • Follow assigned route schedules and complete end‑of‑day documentation. • Participate in all required training, briefings, and meetings. • Collaborate with Operations Managers to improve route efficiency and address unsafe accounts.
