About the Role
• Operate Water Truck, Dump Truck, Haul Truck, and Tractor Trailer/Lowboy as required by projects. • Follow prescribed safety regulations. • Maintain clear and orderly housekeeping in the assigned area. • Perform routine maintenance, including lubricating, fueling, and cleaning. • Observe equipment operation to detect malfunctions. • Follow work plans and pre‑task cards. • Build and maintain effective relationships with individuals from diverse backgrounds and organizational levels. • Read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, manuals, and load charts. • Perform repetitive hand, arm, and leg movements.

What You Bring

The position requires a current driver’s license with the appropriate classification and endorsements, and candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship. Mortenson’s postings typically remain open for a minimum of five days and an average of 44 days. • Related construction experience preferred. • Current driver’s license with required classification and endorsements. • Strong teamwork orientation. • Positive attitude and professional customer service skills. • Ability to operate equipment (move levers, shift gears, depress pedals, steer). • Knowledge of equipment and their uses. • Basic mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division). • Ability to work independently. • Active listening and effective communication, open to diverse input and feedback. • Lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lb (assistance required for loads over 50 lb).
