About the Role

The Maintenance Technician supports the affordable housing community by handling corrective, preventative, routine, emergency, and cosmetic maintenance under the supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor and Community Manager. The role also includes managing the make‑ready process to align with the property’s operational objectives. Key duties involve daily on‑site attendance, responding to resident and management work orders, maintaining common areas, performing pool upkeep with accurate chemical logs, and inspecting grounds and building features for safety hazards. The technician also assists with turn events, keeps the maintenance shop organized, monitors inventory, and records service activities in compliance with EPA and OSHA standards. Customer and resident relations are a priority: the technician provides prompt, courteous service, monitors request turnaround times, projects a positive community image, and enforces community policies as delegated by supervisors. • Perform corrective, preventative, routine, emergency, and cosmetic maintenance for community areas, buildings, and units. • Assist with unit make‑ready and turnover processes to meet operational objectives. • Conduct swimming pool maintenance, cleaning, and accurate chemical logging. • Maintain and update preventative maintenance programs while ensuring OSHA compliance. • Respond promptly to resident service requests and deliver excellent customer service. • Keep the maintenance shop organized, manage inventory, and record service activities accurately. • Participate in on‑call emergency coverage and support hazard communication initiatives.
