About the Role
The role emphasizes safety and teamwork, requiring adherence to PJHA, observation processes, and all site safety guidelines while performing repairs and preventive maintenance on pumps, conveying systems, piping, heat exchangers, power transmissions, and other rotating equipment. • Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on pumps, conveyors, piping, heat exchangers, and power‑driven rotating equipment. • Follow safety protocols including PJHA, observation process, and site safety guidelines. • Use hand and power tools, precision alignment, rigging, pipefitting, and welding while reading blueprints. • Operate forklifts, scissor lifts, basket trucks, and skid loaders; work from ladders, platforms, and scaffolding with fall protection. • Document work orders, complete time accounting, and provide feedback on maintenance procedures. • Maintain personal tool inventory and ensure compliance with company and customer policies.

What You Bring
Technicians must use hand and power tools, perform precision alignment, rigging, pipefitting, welding, read blueprints, and apply preventive/predictive maintenance techniques, as well as operate forklifts, lifts, and other heavy industrial equipment. The position demands physical stamina, including lifting up to 50 lb, working from elevated locations, and wearing required protective gear; flexibility to work holidays and weekends is also required. • Meet physical requirements such as lifting up to 50 lb, extended standing, and exposure to noisy, hot, cold, or hazardous environments. • Possess 5+ years industrial maintenance experience or 4+ years related education. • Demonstrate manual dexterity, precision control, and ability to communicate effectively.

The Industrial Mechanical Technician – Skilled position is based in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, offering up to $32 per hour, with a Tuesday‑Friday 7:00 am‑5:30 pm schedule and weekly pay on Fridays.
