About the Role

The role represents the client on‑site, overseeing quality assurance, documentation, cost control, and schedule management while maintaining a redlined set of as‑built plans and specifications. It includes coordinating inspections, monitoring progress, and reviewing payment applications to ensure conformance to codes and specifications. Additional duties involve tracking submittals and requests for information, preparing punch lists, and ensuring all items are resolved by contractors. The incumbent maintains comprehensive project records, communicates professionally with owners, contractors, designers, and MBP personnel, and participates in documenting project meetings. • Maintain redlined as‑built plans and specifications. • Perform on‑site compliance inspections, quality assurance reviews, and progress monitoring. • Conduct final inspections, generate punch lists, and verify corrective actions. • Review, accept or reject contractor submittals and material proposals within delegated authority. • Coordinate and track submittals, requests for information (RFIs), and project correspondence. • Reject non‑compliant work as delegated by the Project Owner. • Adapt and implement changes to standard construction practices to suit field conditions. • Obtain and maintain required certifications, including OSHA 10‑ or 30‑hour training. • Participate actively in company meetings and professional development activities. • Apply advanced knowledge of engineering technology, construction materials, and inspection tasks. • Utilize Microsoft Office, email, internet navigation, and specialized web‑based tools for reporting.

What You Bring

MBP seeks experienced team members in the Washington/Baltimore DC metropolitan area with at least ten years of combined education and experience, focusing on construction quality management for architectural interior and building envelope projects. Desired candidates have experience on new or renovation projects in healthcare, laboratory, education, and government sectors. Candidates must have at minimum a high school diploma or GED with ten years of relevant experience; an associate degree with eight years or a bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, or construction management with five years is strongly preferred. OSHA 10‑hour or 30‑hour certification is required within three months of hire. The position requires specialized expertise in quality assurance and control, the ability to work independently on all project aspects, strong problem‑solving skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and web‑based tools. Candidates must be able to read plans, apply mathematical formulas, and safely navigate construction sites under varied weather conditions. • Demonstrate tact and diplomacy when addressing sensitive project issues.
